A SOHO RESTAURANT WITH A STORY

Nessa takes its name (and its soul) from Vanessa Bell, the pioneering artist, designer, and central figure of the Bloomsbury Group. Known affectionately by friends as “Nessa,” Bell was a woman ahead of her time: bold, curious, and unapologetically independent, her life and work defied convention.

The Bloomsbury Group, an influential collective of artists, writers, and thinkers, gathered in homes and studios that became salons of cultural exchange. Ideas flowed as freely as the wine, and creativity was a shared pursuit. It’s this spirit of collaboration, openness, and artful living that lives on at Nessa.

More than just a name, Nessa is a tribute to that fearless creativity. From the walls to the menus, every detail nods to the modern bohemia that once flourished just a few streets away. In the kitchen, Executive Chef Tom Cenci channels that same spirit; his dishes are expressive, led by seasonal British produce and full of character. FATHER'S DAY AT NESSA

This Father’s Day, we’re raising a glass to the father figures who’ve earned a proper sit-down meal. Join us for lunch on Sunday 15th June and we’ll treat Dad to his first pint.

For the occasion, our chefs have taken over the specials board with a BBQ-style grill menu; quality British cuts cooked over live fire. We’re talking Tamworth pork, Cornish lamb, and grass-fed Irish beef, served with bread and proper gravy.

Whether it’s a leisurely lunch or an all out family feast, we’ll make sure it’s one to remember.

OYSTER HOUR

Weekdays, 5–6pm

A little daily indulgence: join us for Oyster Hour at the bar. We’re serving freshly shucked Jersey Rock Oysters at just £1 each, every weekday from 5 to 6pm. Best enjoyed with our suggested pairing— keeping it British with a crisp Martini, made with Ramsbury gin or vodka.

Drop in every Thursday from 8 pm as we showcase local musical talent and collaborate with British contemporary artists for evenings of open-format sounds and real-life conversations. Expect spontaneous Q&As, informal chats, and the chance to connect with the artists behind the work.

Sip on our signature cocktails—like the Boho Negroni, a bold twist on a classic, or Abstract 19, a drinkable homage to Vanessa Bell’s iconic Abstract Painting.
